[Pkg-fglrx-devel] fglrx-driver on lenny tries to install 486 kernel image and modules while on 686

Hi,

there is a precompiled package, fglrx-driver simply does not want to use it. What I did is, let fglrx-driver install the 486 packages and manually install the 686 packages. After altering the xorg.conf, the driver loads perfectly.I suppose the installer somehow mistakenly thinks it is running n a 486, while uname clearly states that it's a 686.

Linux pcvlf1953 2.6.26-1-686 #1 SMP Mon Dec 15 18:15:07 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

Anyway, it works for me, I'd just like to mention it because I think it is a bug in the installer of fglrx-driver.
