[Pkg-fglrx-devel] Debian package of AMD FirePro 3D drivers

Is there a debian package for the AMD Workstation Graphics drivers, as needed by the V4900 workstation graphics card?
I tried fglrx but got a blurb on the bottom right side of the root window saying this was unsupported hardware; several OpenGL applications locked up.
AMD seems to have 2 different sets of linux drivers, one for desktop graphics cards (Catalyst, current version = 12.3, which seems to be in the debian archive) and a differentone for workstation graphics cards (current version =  8.911.3.1, blob name is FirePro_8.911.3.1_Linux_...).
