[Pkg-firebird-general] firebird service on amd64 as ia32 chroot?

Hi

I've got a new amd64 machine, with debian installed and I've got java up 
and now I just need firebird running on it.


I've been following the instructions for setting up an ia32 chroot 
sub-system as here:

I installed the chroot system, and installed firebird2 classic packages,
So far, 32bit classic firebird works fine within the chroot, but not 
outside it.

However, I want to have firebird running as a inetd service?

Im thinking I made a mistake, and should have installed the firebird2 
packages into the main amd64 system, not the chrooted system.

Any ideas or thoughts welcome!
