It appears to me that this is the reason for group-maintenance.
And this is where I kick in :-)
Recently I happen to have some luck with firebird2.
Christopher Martin (christopher dot martin at utoronto ca) reviewed the
packaging, gave some very good advices and kindly offered sponsorship.
The last packages (1.5.2-6) shall be available available on
ftp://www.creditreform.bg/public in several hours.

sponsors.debian.net mainly helps finding a sponsor. It seems I've
already found one. No need to bother others.
Anyway, thanks for your support, George.
I'll certanly register firebird2 on sponsors.debian.net in case it needs
