Package: firebird2.0-common
Version: 2.0.3.12981.ds1-11
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
Hi,

when i try to reinstall the firebird2.0-common package to fix the problem with
the missing user "firebird" i get this message:

Setting up firebird2.0-common (2.0.3.12981.ds1-11) ...
adduser: The home dir must be an absolute path.

Looking in the postinst script says:

adduser --system --quiet --shell /bin/bash --home $VAR \
--group --gecos "Firebird Database Administator" firebird

Where and to what is $VAR set?

Yours sincerely,
Matthias
