Hi list,

it came to my attention, that the ttf packages in debian all have
different dependency handling about the defoma, x-ttcidfonts-conf and
fontconfig packages.

My question would be, should we make a policy on how the dependencies
for all ttf packages should look like regarding to these three packages?
And should we make sure that all ttf packages in etch follow this policy
to make sure that as many applications as possible can use those fonts?

for example:
Depends: defoma
Recommends: x-ttcidfonts-conf, fontconfig

Any opinions?

I'm asking, because we don't have much time left until etch gets frozen...

Cheers
Arne
