While on the subject, I've recently dealt with #406741 where control
file looked outdated; the solution was to use a generic control file
rather than frequently updating it.

I'm realyy interested on applying all the good suggestion to the dejavu
package, which has a monthly release cycle and seems a good testbed for
this.
