Hallo,

to finish this in the new year, one way or an other. I did not get an
answer form upstream this time, so it's clear that the Washra fonts are
abandoned.

 1. There will no adjustments to the actual or future Unicode standards
 2. The fonts seem to work in the courrent release of Ubuntu and Debian
 3. I will adjust the package to all future changes is Debian (new ways
to register fonts and so on)

These are the circumstances, does anybody believe that the fonts are
qualified for Debian and willing to sponsor them?

If yes I will rename the package and make other improvements on the
package that might be necessary.

Greetings

Eremit7

Unicode has included several changes to Ethiopic in several new
versions, including the most recent 6.0.0 release so supporting only
Unicode 3.0 doesn't inspire confidence.

That combined with the above makes it seem like these fonts are
abandoned upstream and thus might not be suitable for Debian. Please
talk to upstream and find out if they intend to continue to develop
the fonts into the future to support Unicode 6.0.0 and beyond.

Please run a recent fontlint over the fonts and report the results upstream.

New font package names should probably not use the ttf-foo convention
and definitely not both ttf- and -fonts conventions. I don't know
exactly what we decided the new convention should be, maybe moving to
what Fedora use would be a good idea.
