Not  compiling source fonts (such as .sfd files) is OK. TTF files are
considered to be possible to modify anyway. Of course, if you can
include a build system that starts from the original source files,
then fine (assuming that the builkd path uses free tools).

The font packaging policy which you'll find on wiki.deiban.org is
*outdated*. Don't use it.

We haven't, yet, any big packaging policy. A document about packages
naming is underway, but that's all. Basically, the point is calling
fonts packages as "font-([foo]-)bar, where foo (optional) is the
foundry name and bar is the font name.
