Sure, but I think important issues discussed in this thread shouldn't be
conveniently swept under the rug for short-term visual gain (and maybe
forgotten later on).

Longer-term best practises and maintainership issues (which have been
advocated to upstream in other channels already) are worth thinking
about now before they hit our archive.

Really I'm not nitpicking aimlessly but advocating that prominent
project be serious with best practises for the wider benefit of all
parties involved.

And don't get me wrong, I do appreciate your efforts in getting fonts
packaged :-)

Your focus on this font project and the little discussion that it
started has already allowed various extra improvements and new bug
reports. Why stop now?   AFAIK Debian is not going to be shipping a
stable release with GNOME3 for a little while which gives us more time
to get it right, doesn't it?
