[Pkg-fonts-devel] [OT] problem with fonts in iceweasel

Hi everyone,

I wanted to inquire about a problem I see with iceweasel and
Japanese fonts, and I have no idea where to ask.

Here is a very simple html file:

<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
</head>
<body>
ひらがな漢字
</body>
</html>
is rendered *very*very* strange:

Namely:
- Hiragana text (ひらがな) is rendered in mincho
- Kanji text (漢字) is rendered in gothic

I tried the same on a Windows system with firefox, and all the
characters were rendered in gothic. And in Chrome on the 
same linux system, and again everything was rendered correctly.

Does anyone have an idea what might be the reason for that?
