[Pkg-fonts-devel] RFS: fonts-georgewilliams

Hi all,

I've just updated the fonts-georgewilliams package in order to fix bug
#760826 [1], which seems quite annoying for the users.

The change consists in a patch to rename the font Monospace in
GWMonospace (in its metadata, not in the filename), so that there's no
longer risk to override system's default monospace font. After a quick
chat with Vasudev on IRC, I found out that this was an old bug [2] in
the package and the workaround used was to not install the monospace
font. Obviously that rule was dropped doing the clean up of the package,
and using the sfd files instead of the ttf.

Following Paul's advice, I've asked upstream - cc-ed in the bug - to
change the name, but as the font is untouched since 2002 in the
meanwhile I've decided that it made sense to do it also in the Debian
package.

    Main changes:
added patch to change Monospace font name. Closes: #760826

Thanks in advance,
Francesca
