fonts-droid package should contain news about dropping of DroidSans
DroidSerif variant and only shipping Fallback fonts. Also it should note
that these fonts merged into Noto with specific link to change in
upstream Vcs.

fonts-noto provides 2 binary but I'm not sure which should be providing
fonts-droid. I feel Droid's CJK variants are merged into Noto but I
don't have any proof so I think fonts-noto-unhinted provides
fonts-droid.

To be frank here I would like answer from more experienced DD's (hint
;-))

Well if we drop fonts-roboto how do we tell it to user?. I've no clue
and I didn't think about it in the begining :-D.

Roboto is now provided by googlei18n project under github but if we
intend to build it ourself we need to package all its build tools.

Sorry for not elaborating please see inline above. Hope I'm able to
clarify now?.
