[Pkg-fonts-devel] Status of Droid fonts

Hi Dave,

I'm the maintainer of fonts-droid and fonts-roboto in Debian. We were
tracking the android repository¹ for release newer versions of these
fonts.

Recently when trying to update the fonts I noticed that Droid and Roboto
fonts have vanished from the repository. It was noted that roboto has
its own upstream² but I couldn't trace what really happened to Droid
fonts, though some commits mentioned about using Noto fonts instead.

Paul Wise told it would be better to contact you on this ³. So are Droid
fonts are dropped? or is the development moved some where else like
roboto?.
