I ran the command you gave, and the orig.tar.xz (.xz, not .gz) the
downloaded tarball is identicle to my original tarball (size 1283020)
with the SHA1SUM being the same as above. That is to say, I cannot
reproduce the tarball that the Debian archive is referring to.

So what do I do now, and what do I do differently in the future?
