What does that mean?  How have you destroyed it?

As explained in the thread [1], it's much simpler now.

Since I guess you cannot boot anymore on Debian, you can boot the
OM2008.9, then open a terminal and type the following, assuming that
your microSD is configured as "usual" (i.e. first partition for /boot
and second for /) and your OM2008.9 has access to the Internet:

  # umount /dev/mmcblk0p1
  # umount /dev/mmcblk0p2
  # mount /dev/mmcblk0p2 /media/card/
  # mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 /media/card/boot/
  # chroot /media/card/
  # apt-get update
  # apt-get install linux-image-2.6.24-openmoko-gta02

Then you should be able to reboot and enjoy Debian again :-)
