Can you please try the Debian kernel linux-image-2.6.24-opemoko-gta02 as
I already asked in my previous post, please? I don't see the point in
using a non-Debian kernel now that Debian provides a kernel, this
duplicates the efforts.
If there's something you don't like or you need with the Debian kernel,
please ask for it, better file a wishlist bug (with reportbug as
explained at [1]) and I'll add it.

The command you used is the right one, but it depends on the Openmoko
kernel version: some of them are compiled with all basic drivers
built-in, others as modules [2][3].
