[pkg-fso-maint] status of shr packaging

Hi,

as I announced some time ago I just began working on the packaging of
the shr stuff, which joachim started in late 2008. As I couldn't
contact him via xmpp I hope he will read this mail, too :)

First of all I made myself a picture of the dependencies between the
shr applications. Later I found this nice graphic, which describes
the shr architecture very nice [1].

Next I got a quick overview about joachim's work and did some
obvious and easy tasks:

 * rename of openmoko-{dialer,messages,contacts}3 to shr-{dialer, ...}
 * create basic descriptions for the packages
 * fixed build dependencies for e17 libraries (-dev packages got renamed)
 * provide correct Homepage tag (shr instead of fso)
 * adding myself to uploaders ;)

Now I checked the dependencies of the single packages to see which
one has to be packaged first. This would be libframeworkd-phonegui,
which joachim already uploaded to pkg-fso feed. I updated it and now
it depends on libphone-utils, so I started with this one.

The packaging was quite easy (it's just a small library containg
some helper functions) and can be found at [2]. Upload to pkg-fso
feed will follow once packages are build with pkg-fso instead of
unstable branch (I forgot to change this).

I will now continue with updating libframeworkd-phonegui.

Though, I will have to wait for elementary to get into Debian
repository (once I need to package libframeworkd-phonegui-elf),
but according to Albin from pkg-e it will be included in the
next round of e17 uploads, which will be in a few days.

Once elementary is in Debian I will also package intone, an
elementary based mplayer audio GUI [3] which seems to be the
audio player SHR guys are using.

my current TODO for shr packaging:
 - update the src joachim exported in 2008 to a more recent checkout
 - check for new dependencies, shr guys added a lot of stuff
 - update copyright files (some of joachims are just copy&paste)
 - add README.source files containing scripts getting an orig.tar.gz
 - add symbol files to the libraries
 - wait for new e17 packages containing elementary :)
