[pkg-fso-maint] Building packages for the freerunner

Out of curiosity I've rebuilt a package [0] for the Freerunner in 3
different ways and measured the used time:

1) in a sid dchroot on agricola.debian.org:
real    7m51.975s

2) on the Freerunner itself (in a sid cowbuilder chroot):
real    39m32.782s

3) on my desktop machine (i386, single core, 2.8 GHz, 1 GB RAM) with
   qemu-builder:
real    151m35.595s

/* Notes
- After _several_ failed attempts.
- And it fries my CPU and I get tons of messages like:
  sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] ABORT operation started
  sd 0:0:0:0: ABORT operation failed.
  [..]
  sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] DEVICE RESET operation started
   target0:0:0: control msgout: c.
  lsi_scsi: error: Unimplemented message 0x0c
   target0:0:0: has been reset
  sd 0:0:0:0: DEVICE RESET operation complete.
  sd 0:0:0:0: M_REJECT received (0:0).
*/

What surprises me:
* The Freerunner is not that slow (and part of agricola's advantage
  is that I didn't have the cowbuilder overhead there).
* qemu-builder is terribly slow. If it works at all.

Are these results expected? Any other comments/recommendations?

Cheers,
gregor
