I must say that I somewhat disagree here. install.sh is not the full
scale debian-installer, rather it should be the minimum to get going
with Debian. So as long as extra repositories are not required to
install the system to a point where you can log in and run apt-get
yourself, I don’t see a need to extend the installer.

If you need to automate that, then write a script that calls the
installer, and then mounts the installed system and does the extra
steps. Or, for extra points, port debian-installer to the FreeRunner :-)
