1) I think we decided to use $(VERSION)+$(VCS)$(DATE)-$(DEBIAN) for any
   upstream VCS checkout.

2) Please do not target unstable if the packages are not uploaded to
   Debian main and instead use the "pkg-fso" distribution, otherwise
   there is no way to know where the packages come from.

This seems odd: where is the binary package?  I know you have uploaded
them later, but usually you always upload the sources *together* with a
binary package.  Anyway, everything seems to be OK...
