I find this message here about a non-available Gypsy server:

# grep -i gps /var/log/syslog
Mar 14 12:28:24 debian-gta02 kernel: [21474538.530000] neo1973-pm-gps neo1973-pm-gps.0:
FIC Neo1973 GPS Power Management:starting

connected
Mar 14 12:35:22 debian-gta02 fso-gpsd[1567]: WARNING: Timeout: device started but not
connected

which probably refers to
http://gypsy.freedesktop.org/reference/html/gypsy-design.html

and as I read about it here
http://bzed.de/posts/2009/02/why_you_should_use_gpsd_over_gypsy/

I should not be worried, this tell me. Though I don't get any fixes any more. And this is
the only information that I get. Is there some way to learn more about about the fso-gpsd
is doing? How can I switch on some kind of a log file?

Many thanks and regards,

Steffen
