Yip. It probably was. A later install after a reformat seemed fine.

Once you have passed the deboostrap and a kernel is on it, the system should boot and then
there is then not much that could be accredited to the install script. That install script
 steadily improves, I tend to think. To get the latest version is usually a good thing.

What exactly do your errors look alike?
