the NAND should eventually be supported. For you first effort, though, I
am not so very interested.

For NAND I think it would be sufficient to prepare the image on the
desktop and then transfer it to the other platform. There would not be a
need for a "live" support on the device itself.

I don't care so much. And IMHO you should not worry too much either. The
community is up to develop such insights within the framework you are
now coming up with.
