[pkg-fso-maint] install.sh - should it prepare the desktop more?

Fil told me there are things that in landscape mode you cannot do, like
the power menu shows up truncated, or some menu items end up past the
bottom of the screen.

If it's just to turn gsm power on/off, then it's trivial to add a button
to zavai that calls a script with start or stop as a parameter.

The GPS on/off code does just that and can probably be used as a
template.

For extra kicks, it would be nice, then, to implement going through the
various d-bus motions of turning on this and that, so that the GSM
actually comes on and one can already run simple things like dumping the
SMS database, or running pppd.

In the past I used FSO, then I gave up but dbus is still around. It
is used to read battery status on desktop computers, for example, via
devicekit. It's good to have it around, as it's needed at least for
anything involving the GSM.

Note that given the kind of users zavai has, any out-of-the-box
configuration WILL make someone unhappy:

 - for gps: fso-gpsd or gpsd? omhacks or usaged?
 - for screen blanking: xset or usaged?
 - for suspend: pm-utils-light or fso?

Going all-FSO one would ask why not SHR. But at the same time, I feel
like I'm the only person so far using pm-utils-light to suspend/resume,
so how can we default to that?

Ciao,
