Well, oldsys-preseed is also used for preseeding custom settings (even
from disk).
Say the user has configured the device, these settings are used.
It doesn't matter much, either way is fine I suppose. Especially if
the preseed file
uses the openmoko defaults.

You mean if it is possible to clone the git-svn branch? I have tried
it out somewhat
and AFAICR this is doable.
