Hello again,<br><br>I think I've fixed my uSD issues by passing some parameters to the kernel (had to do it via a script and /sys though, Qi doesn't read append_GTA02 on NAND(jffs2)). <br>So I have installed Debian again, with greater ease than before. Some remarks:<br>*The wiki contains old docs of the script on <a href="http://wiki.debian.org/DebianOnFreeRunner/InstallScript" target="_blank">http://wiki.debian.org/DebianOnFreeRunner/InstallScript</a> . The difference with current might not be great though.<br>
*In those docs lies a claim that only fat/ext2 may be chosen as SD_PART1_FS. When using Qi, one can also pick ext3. (I did so, and it may well have payed off as I forgot the uSD-related kernel params for first boot. /bin/less suddenly belonged to user 168427520 and other strange things happened, I think fsck solved all that.)<br>
*Apparently, the wrong quotation marks cause the script to inform me of [sic] 'calling $f'.<br>*The rigth place for copying /etc/hosts seems the configuration stage, but I need it sooner if I want to use my local proxy.<br>
*Finally: in a case of suitable irony, my own silliness came back to me when the installation muttered 'I: Done with stage carthago'. I didn't entertain the possibility of variable aliasing when writing my patch.<br>
*By default, root seems to have only /usr/bin:/bin for a $PATH. Don't know where that comes from.<br><br>I made some corresponding fixes in install.sh, starting from the latest git version with which the attached patch should match.<br>
<br>As there is a true debian-installer underway, I can imagine that making install.sh perfect isn't that imporant. Is there some other not-too-difficult task that I could lend a (small) hand for?<br><br>Thanks for your attention,<br>

I admit to be not overly much interested. In my humble opinion the bug<br>

It look all fine to me. Concerning the DELENDA, er, internal_delenda, I<br>
wished we would kind of determine the packages to delete when we know if<br>
we are using (c)?debootstrap ..... or find some other more deterministic<br>
approach. Or some flag to dpkg that allows the specification of<br>
non-existing packages for removal? Well, since your code certainly fixes<br>
