This change look OK but please let me add that it may in general also
cause trouble to replace CFLAGS by CXXFLAGS as most autoconf tests
use the C compiler to perform tests. So if you add important stuff such
as path options to CXXFLAGS please remember to do it for CFLAGS as well.
