Bug#294213: Same problem on my system too

I have the same problem all the time. Strangely, if I only play local LAN
networked games it never crashes, even after hours of play. Only on the
internet does it crash.  Great game, would be nice if it worked for
network.  By the way, the system it crashes on is PPC, the others on the
LAN are x86.

Also sounds like bug #311307 is perhaps a reflection of this same problem.
