I was thinking of something more end-user oriented and more elaborated, maybe
something with symlinks and some small checks inside the code or in an
external script, maybe inside two different packages which both provide
game-data, one with the real data that you want to install, the other one with
this approach, so that the user can choose. I'll try to think about it and
maybe prepare a proof-of-concept :)
