Hi,

welcome :)

I agree in all the points you have mentioned. I guess the 1st steps to do
might be preparing a document with all the relevant points for the project
(you have mentioned some very interesting ones), and maybe set up a wiki for
the easy maintenance of all that stuff, including the web page you mention
about known non-free games.

The next step could be to set up a subversion repository for collaborative
maintenance of some packages. I personally prefer subversion, but I'm open to
other alternatives for a versioning system if we find something better (I know
of some people who prefer distributed ones, I think svn would be enough and
perfect for us).
