For freedoom is made it like this:
Maintainer: Debian Games Group <pkg-games-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org>
Uploaders: Moritz Muehlenhoff <jmm at debian.org>
This has the benefit that all bugs, installer mails etc. go to a common list.
Once more packages are in the archive and this becomes too noisy, we might move
the general discussion list to another mailing list.

See http://wiki.debian.org/Games/SVN
I'd suggest to leave out the tarball in this case:
# Or alternatively, import only the files that are touched
# by the .diff.gz
svn-inject -o filename.dsc svn+ssh://svn.debian.org/svn/pkg-games/packages
Cheers,
Moritz
