Bug#436469: hex-a-hop: Localization misses non-ascii chars

Hi Jens, Helge, Tom,

I'm sorry I haven't written back in the whole weekend, I've been some days out
and wasn't online.

First of all, would any of you, Jens and Helge, want to comaintain the
package? We're already maintaining it cooperatively inside the Debian Games
Team SVN repository, so if you want, I can add you to the alioth group. Please
tell me if you want, that way it might be easier to make changes directly in
the SVN server instead of having to send all the individual patches to the
BTS, one by one.

Second, mostly to Tom, we have already done some modifications to hex-a-hop in
the form of patches to be applied when creating the package, but they seem to
be increasing especially as we're taking i18n into consideration. What would
you like to do with all those patches, would you be willing to integrate them
in a new release of the program?

Third, for myself mainly, but to keep you informed, I plan to make some small
command line programs to pack/unpack the data contained in the .dat files.
According to Tom:

I guess we should start dealing on how to handle all those changes. The
package is right now using quilt, so if I add you to add comaintainers and you
make your commits directly into the svn server, it might be easier for all of
us to handle the patches. Quilt makes it very easy to handle a stach of
patches, much easier than just sending them to the BTS.

I don't exactly know how Tom is handling the management of the source of the
program, but another possibility would be that he was integrating the patches
in his source.

The patches for the moment can be found in: http://bugs.debian.org/hex-a-hop

Greetings,
Miry
