i am sorry i cant help you much there being a non techie myself!
what i do remmeber is when we were having problem with that rendering ppl
were advising us to change the environment  pango =0 or pango =1 whatever it
was. there is no problem in feisty and so i have forgotten.

Could you first describe what currently is wrong? Maybe you can send a

that is not the only problem. where the hooks and curves will get attached
is another problem.

i checked the settings and it is there correct alright.
perhaps a bug in kbabel

oh tamil is displayed in the terminal like how it is displayed in the
screenshots now.
though the pango setting solves the text display problem in other
applications it does not do so in terminal

my son backported it from gutsy to feisty.
i have finished some 30%
