in your attached log file i found something that looks strange to me:
---[snip]---
--- Common Initialization Complete ---
Opening IP socket: localhost:27960
WARNING: UDP_OpenSocket: bind: Address already in use
Opening IP socket: localhost:27961
WARNING: UDP_OpenSocket: bind: Address already in use
Opening IP socket: localhost:27962
---[snap]---

maybe these warnings point to a broken error handling implementation
that leads to the crash. could you please try to fix your network
configuration, so that OpenArena can bind itself to the localhost
interface?

i reproduced this, by binding netcat to OpenArena's default port, but it
still didn't crash when i clicked the "Accept" button after changing
things in the video options menu. honestly i don't believe that the
network issue has something to do with the crash, but maybe we can
easily exclude it as a reason.
