Is this a policy or technical issue?  I tried to make the change to
Vala painless for you guys by delivering two sets of source, from
which you could pick.  If it's your policy to pick the 'most upstream'
of the two sets, try gmult 6.3, which only required 0.3.5.  gmult 7.0
requires unreleased changes to valac.

Oh my god, I'm such an idiot.  I've seen this patch before from you
guys, but for some reason thought it was reversed (adding the exit
bit, not removing it).  And in the configure.ac turmoil of the past
two releases, I added it back in!  :(  I did think it was an odd
change for you to request.

I'll fix it in the next release.
