Bug#521194: micropolis: Happens under GNOME but not in xterm-only session

I experienced the same bug under gnome.

I then tried micropolis in a second X server on console 8 from an
xterm only session.  Here the buttons highlited on mouse-over an I was
able to click them.  The game segfaulted on loading the scenario
Hamburg, however.
