Where to mirror non-free game data files

Hi team,

I am the maintainer of the rott (Rise of the Triad) package. My
package currently downloads and installs the non-free shareware game
data from the upstream server during postinst and has been bitten by
#530570, when upstream changed the download location for the game
data. In the bug report it was recommended to add support for rott in
game-data-packager, so I tried to investigate the issue and found the
package to be rather DOOM centric, which is the reason why I filed bug #.

However, since game-data-packager will require some work to finally
support rott and since the upstream download location is still subject
to change arbitrarily, we need an intermediate solution to this issue.
Is it possible to mirror the rott shareware data zip file somewhere on
a Debian server where the download location will not change? Of course
the data is non-free, but according to the upstream license it seems
to be legally possible to mirror it somewhere as long as all files in
the zip are kept together.

I am currently thinking of <http://pkg-games.alioth.debian.org/tarballs/>

Do you think this is possible?

Cheers,
Fabian
