It depends if you enabled "3D Acceleration" in VirtualBox for the guest
machine or not. If it's enabled, the OpenGL commands are redirected to
r300 on the host machine.

I'll checkout if I can reproduce the bug on my 32bit Intel notebook.

Maybe that user also uses the error-prone r300 driver. I didn't see
anything in the report about the video cards.

Let's see what will happen on my Intel thingy later on ;)
