Hi Tom,
Thank you for replying and saw the date, it was a fast reply so thanx for that.

I was not able to reply because for some reason your reply didn't come
to me. Something to do with the Debian bts/its mailer or something
else altogether. Anyways, now I have subscribed (to my own bug) so
this shouldn't happen.

This is the info. you had asked for :-

$ sudo lspci -kvnn | fgrep -A 12 VGA
[sudo] password for shirish:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation 82G33/G31
Express Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:29c2] (rev 10) (prog-if
00 [VGA controller])
	Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. P5KPL-VM Motherboard [1043:82b0]
	Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 43
	Memory at fea80000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=512K]
	I/O ports at dc00 [size=8]
	Memory at e0000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M]
	Memory at fe900000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=1M]
	Expansion ROM at <unassigned> [disabled]
	Capabilities: [90] MSI: Enable+ Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit-
	Capabilities: [d0] Power Management version 2

   00:1b.0 Audio device [0403]: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family
High Definition Audio Controller [8086:27d8] (rev 01)

This is a desktop mind you. Don't know why it says 32 bits when I
have 64-bit OS here. I mean :-

Memory at e0000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M]

Or is it a hardware thing ?

$ free -m|awk '/^-\/\+ buffers\/cache:/ {print $4" MB"}'
966 MB

I didn't get your last part, you gave link to your own post and there
texture-compression= true.
I made the changes and it worked, thank you for sorting out this one.

Maybe you can close this one ?
