Package: abuse-lib
Version: 1:0.8-2
Severity: minor

Dear Maintainer,

level 8 seems to be unplayable: one ends up in the "jumping trap" right in the last room before the final teleport of that level.
It is probably not possible to reach the final two switches ...
One of these will insert the flying super power at the bottom of the mover with which you enter this room. But to to reach that switch in the upper left corner you need the ability to fly.

After having had a look at the level with "abuse -edit" it seems like an error in the level file to me.

Workaround:
0. Play until you reach the jumping trap in level 8
1. Save your game
2. Quit /Abuse/ and start the editor with this command:
   "abuse -edit"
3. Press TAB to enable play mode
4. Load your saved game. (with ESC as usual)
5. Press TAB to enable edit mode again
6. Select your character
7. Click on the move button in the command window
8. a) Try to move your character to the plattform in the upper left (difficult)
OR b) Move the flying super power thingy to some position where it can be reached.
9. Press TAB to enable play mode.
10. Turn on the switch in the upper left part of the room and save your game as usual at the console.
11. Quit the editor. (play mode is much too fast for me)
12. Start /Abuse/ and load the saved game as usual.

Hope this helps!

Hackless hacking forever!

CU,
Michael

BTW I was not able to load the level file itself into the editor: I had to restore the game in play mode (TAB).
This could be considered a bug by its own ...

PS Try "Edit->God mode" in the editor :-)
