Hello,

thanks for your bug report. I'm not sure yet if the developers of
freeciv can really solve your issue. Did you also try to adjust your
mouse settings outside of Freeciv? e.g. maybe this might help you

That means it could be easier for you to customize your mouse settings
under X differently and map the middle mouse button to another key
combination for example. Often pressing the left and right mouse button
together also emulates the middle button. Other combinations might also
exist.

Otherwise I can only imagine that this is a feature request for the
upstream developers of Freeciv to offer an alternative key combination
for retrieving the same information.
