Bug#825932: freeorion: Segfault on entry of dead_macron

Hi Markus,

I’ve attached minimal-case log files (which, incidentally, are in
$HOME/.local/share/freeorion on my machine).

I don’t know how one might enter a deadkey macron in a “normal” keyboard
mapping (by “normal” I presume you mean U.S.?); I use a custom xmodmap
because I do a lot of multilingual work...

In the interest of being comprehensive, here’s what I see with the various
deadkeys:

– acute, grave, circumflex, cedilla, diaresis, tilde, and abovering work
(e.g., é, è, ê, ç, ö, ñ, å)
– micron, ogonek, caron, abovedot, and belowdot don’t cause a crash but do
nothing (e.g., ğ, ę, č, ė, ẹ just print g, e, c, e, e)
– doubleacute causes yet another behaviour: when I type ˝ + o, instead of
ő I get nothing at all

Copy/paste is totally broken in Freeorion, so pasting in from character map
isn’t an option. (That’s another bug, though.)

Best,
TK
