Yes and it would be a great idea to put small  explosive charges under every seat so that they could  deploy properly in an emergency.   Adding  "check 250  explosive charges" to the  weekly maintenance schedule  for every plane does not sound  to me like it would be economically feasible  or even  possible really.  And of  course  when one goes off accidentally and suddenly ejects a passenger  over the pacific ocean and  then brings the entire plane down in a ball of flames everyone is going to start asking "whose idea was it to pack the passenger cabin with explosives as a safety measure?"
