in the case of g-d-p, which generates packages for game data, that's
sure a reasonable way to do it. However, in the case of chocolate-doom
we do provide the engine, so we are pretty sure it is there. However,
we want to hide the desktop file if the corresponding game data cannot
be found (independently of it being packages by g-d-p or not). That's
quite the other way round.
