This bug was fixed in the package ogre - 1.6.1.dfsg1-1ubuntu2

  * debian/patches/pthread_extern_c.patch: Fixes build failure on armel, sparc,
    ia64 and powerpc architectures. Fixed in debian version 1.6.1.dfsg1-2.
