I can't reproduce this.
(Admittedly I'm not actually using the 2.2.7 package on Oneiric -- I'm using self-compiled 2.2.7 code on Lucid -- but I'd be surprised if that made a difference.)
Can you provide a bit more detail -- perhaps a paired savegame and
screenshot showing the problem?
What kind of terrain is the "invisible" pollution on? Are any other
specials/sprites (e.g., Fallout) affected? Is the problem specific to
the "hex2t" tileset for you?

Bug description:
the pollution glyph is invisible on the map.
it is reported by the message log, and affects global warming, but it is not visible on the map.
you can try editing the map using "ctrl-e" and placing pollution on a cell; the cell remains clean.
I use hex2t tiles.
