I'm going to make the call here and say that we can keep both in
precise. We certainly cannot guarantee that all software in the archive
will be supported for the lifetime of the release. With Wesnoth, as
Gerfried said, there are people who would like to continue to play 1.8
for the time being. As both are already packaged and in the archive, I
see no reason to remove the older one at this time. In fact, that might
keep people from upgrading to precise and taking advantage of all the
other new stuff in the release. That is unless there are possible
security issues with keeping the old version. I see 6 CVEs for wesnoth,
3 from 2007 and 3 from 2009. So, unless wesnoth-1.8 will be removed
from wheezy, I think this is fine to keep for precise. Unsubscribing
ubuntu-sponsors for the moment.

Title:
  Please remove wesnoth-1.8 from precise

Status in “wesnoth-1.8” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
wesnoth-1.8 is the old stable version of Wesnoth. It's obsolete
because wesnoth-1.10 is the latest stable version and has been synced
  to precise from Debian.

Having both versions in Ubuntu is confusing.

Please also blacklist wesnoth-1.8 since it's not been removed from
  Debian yet.
