Hi Sean and Finney (and others reading this at the pkg-gd-devel list)!

News on the GD-for-Debian front:

I have now created a mailinglist for the GD work at Alioth:
pkg-gd-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org

I have invited you onto the list, Sean.

Pierre: If you or others are interested, here's the page to subscribe:
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-gd-devel

I have added you, Sean, as a "Senior Developer" for the pkg-gd project
at Alioth. I believe that grants you access to pretty much anything
except administering users. Feel free to rearrange to Alioth project
setup as you please, and try convince me if you want more/less power.

Pierre and others: If interested in participating directly in the
packaging, create an Alioth account and tell us what you want to work on
at pkg-gd-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org .

I've packaged and uploaded 2.0.35.dfsg-1 to unstable. The "dfsg" part os
due to some of the cmake snippets containing copyrights referring to
licensing info not available in the source tarball, and also I am
uncertain if the Qt license used by at least one of those snippets (as
opposed to the Qt+GPL dual-license used by Qt itself) is actually
DFSG-free. Also the VMS makefile contains a copyright with too vague
licensing info.

As I understand it, the cmake files at used for new upstream test
routines. I'd appreciate help resolving these issues to be able to
release next upstream version with pristine source, and enable those
tests at build time.

I thought I'd requested Subversion repository for the project long ago,
but seemingly not. So that one is still pending.

When Subversion is added to the Alioth project, Ill add both the GD
package itself and the various GD-relates packages that I currently
maintain.

After that, we can get in touch with others maintaining GD-related
packages and suggest them to join this team.

Kind regards,

 - Jonas
