<p>We have some previous bug report about this. Search convert and size on the pts. I have not a full internet connection but this bug is tagged fixed upstream. Feel free to merge the two bug report</p>

Since about version 5 or so, imagemagick has started to always add<br>
metadata fields to output files that support it. The date:create and<br>
date:modify fields are always added to PNG files. This is problematic<br>
when script-generated images are managed by SVN, because SVN always<br>
finds a difference in the image files even though their content and<br>
other non-volatile metadata are identical.<br>

This behaviour can be suppressed in `convert` by specifying `+set<br>
date:create +set date:modify`; the properties are not written to the<br>
target file.<br>

However, `mogrify`, which modifies the file in-place, does not appear to<br>
respect this. It will ALWAYS set date:create and date:modify in the file<br>
regardless of whether the +set options are specified. This is a bug.<br>
